Pat Winn -  vocals & acoustic guitar

Pat made his first entrance on to the musical stage in the metropolis that is known as Somerleyton in Suffolk in 1987, guesting with the superb local country band The Plainsmen. Often seen around the Lowestoft pubs hassling the various duos and bands that performed, he decided that being a painter and decorator was not very rock n roll and randomly ended up in the RAF.

With Karaoke just taking off in a big way Pat started as a compare and worked around

London and the south east for two years. In the mid 90’s he entered the prestigious

Search for a Star competition in Norwich and promptly came last. Invited back the

following year for some reason, he came second from last. On the panel of judges

however was BBC’s Roy Waller, who went on to support Pat in later years, offering great

advice and playing him regularly on his show.

Inspired by a recent trip to Tennessee and performing with the Dempseys who

appeared in the Johnny Cash bio Walk the Line, a track Pat had written and

recorded, Memphis, was played on BBC Radio 2 by Johnny Walker on his

drive time show. He returned to Tennessee in 2015 for a series of gigs in

Nashville and performed and recorded with one time Cricket, and writer

of 60’s smash Ever Lasting Love, Buzz Cason.

In 2018 Pat was signed to Western Star Records and has just released his third

album. The label has a strong association with Joe Meek, and The Holloway

Echoes were formed after the sad death of Chas Hodges, who had recorded

for Western Star. Only planned as a one off, the band have just finished their

fifth album Triumphs and Tragedies, all Joe Meek inspired compositions.
